    We had 3 small projects in our home done through Blue City:
    1. Adding French Doors to the dining room
    2. Adding a door to our basement
    3. Re-tiling and re-framing in the bathroom

    All were done at a reasonable price and Hector was great about letting us know how things were progressing.

    Complete Home Electrical Upgrade with Two Panel Boxes

    My husband and I hired Blue City Contractors, Corp. after researching other companies. We negotiated and agreed upon a quote to complete and update electrical wiring of our first floor home with replacement/upgrade of two older panel boxes in Nov/Dec 2019. We also asked for an install of split AC units (4) with condenser. We relied on Blue City to do a professional and quality job, which my husband and I really compliment the Master Electrician and his assistants for doing. They were generally prompt, hardworking, knowledgeable, patient, explained things as they proceeded, and usually double checked with us for verification on how we wanted things done. The electrical wiring was completed for the new year 2020 and we were satisfied with the work, however, the pandemic delayed many things from the next step (inspection). At that time, Blue City agreed that they would return for the next phase which is the scheduling and signing off on the inspection with the DOB (as what was paid for) and to finish any final details of the project. To date, my husband and I have reached out several times and are still awaiting a response from Blue City. Hopefully we can resolve this situation soon, so that I can return to this review to update as a a very satisfied customer, with a fully completed electrical project.

    Whole Home Remodel project

    The job was to install stone ledger panels onto an ~60 sqrt foot wall + installation of a TV mount and TV, ventless fireplace, and guitar hook. The project was completed satisfactorily.

    Overall, Hector communicated well with us. Hector and his crew were generally careful in setup and there were one or 2 issues on site. These issues were resolved as best as they could have been, with favorable outcomes.

    Be sure to be very clear and over-communicate as some things may get lost in translation. I would hire Hector again.

From estimating the job to completing it - on time and within agreed upon budget - Blue City’s owner, Hector Aparicio, and his workers were professional and knowledgeable about what my job required. The finished product is exactly as I pictured it would be. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them for my next project.

    Really impressed by the speed and perfection for the job they've done for me. Their professionalism helped me save a lot of money when it came to cutting the sidewalk curb and making a driveway for me. Hector was so up to speed with everything from initial consultation, to pricing, and to starting the project.

    Blue City renovated our 2 bed 2 bath condo in midtown and they did a fantastic job. We moved walls, changed closets, removed built in cabinets and replaced the floors. All the work was well done and with great craftmanship, from the woodwork and dry wall to the painting. Highly recommended!

    My husband and I are adding doors to partition one of our rooms into two smaller spaces and a hector has been a detail-oriented, thoughtful contractor throughout the process. His team is punctual, respectful, and incredibly hard working. We had an initial vision for the project and he worked with us to make it a reality for our apartment. He was up front about the prices and we truly feel like we are working with an honest, dependable contractor. Hector and his team have completed phase one of the project (which needs to be paused for the time being on our end, not theirs) and we really look forward to working with this team again soon! Highly recommend.

    We were were undertaking a total gut renovation of our Tudor Townhome that had been untouched since 1927. We had run into a major problem with our contractor who left in the middle of the construction, returned and disappeared again. Blue City stepped up and helped us to finish the job when it looked like there was no end in sight. He was attentive to details and was willing to make changes without any issue. He worked late and on the weekends as he knew that we needed to move back into our home. The work that was done was beautiful. Hector, the owner of the company, has a heart of gold and truly treats you like a member of the family.
